Carlos Sainz to miss the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Oliver Bearman takes over his seat
Carlos Sainz will miss the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after he was diagnosed with appendicitis with Ferrari reserve driver Oliver Bearman set to replace the Spaniard in Jeddah. The Madrid-born race driver felt unwell in the build-up to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, and he was forced to miss the media day on Wednesday. However, he could recover for Thursday's opening day to take part in the two opening practice sessions. Although Sainz hoped to recover for qualifying day, Ferrari have announced that the two-time grand prix winner has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery. Ferrari's statement read: 'Carlos Sainz has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery....
