Monaco GP helmet Leclerc auction raises record amount
A helmet worn by Charles Leclerc during the Monaco Grand Prix has fetched a record sum. Sotheby's reports that the Monegasque's helmet has fetched 306,000 euros. According to the auction house, never before has so much money been laid down by anyone for a worn F1 helmet. Article continues under ad Proceeds from the auction will go to victims in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, which was recently hit hard by severe weather and flooding. The Imola Grand Prix was therefore cancelled. Ferrari announced at the time that it would donate one million euros to the victims.
