Fernando Alonso sends warning to Red Bull

Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso believes that he could be on track to take pole in Monaco after an impressive showing during the first two practice showings of the weekend. Alonso took P2 in FP1 by just 0.4 seconds and P4 in FP2 by 0.2 seconds, putting him within touching distance of securing his first pole position of the season. The Spaniard hasn’t taken pole in Formula 1 since the 2012 German Grand Prix, leaving him over a decade without starting from that coveted position. With significant experience around the track, having 2 wins and 2 podiums in the principality, Alonso will be determined to start near the front of the grid. Want to work in Formula 1?
