Fernando Alonso says he wants to be Max Verstappen's team-mate

Fernando Alonso has identified the driver he’d like to take on the gruelling 24 hours of Le Mans race with in the hopes of taking another win in the race. Alonso won the race twice in 2018 and 2019 while taking a break from Formula 1 after a tough few years at McLaren. Looking at a future entry in the race, the Spaniard believes Max Verstappen would be the perfect partner to take on the challenge, showing his dominance in other areas of motorsports. Verstappen is currently powering Red Bull’s charge to a second consecutive Constructors’ Championship, having taken three of the five victories so far this season. Want to work in Formula 1?
