The team struggled to get into the top ten in Bahrain, then appeared to be off the pace again in Jeddah on Friday during the race runs. But they managed to turn around their fortinues for qualifying, with both drivers getting through to Q2. Magnussen then fought with Yuki Tsunoda in the closing stages of the race for the final point, which he achieved after pulling off an ambitious move into Turn 1 with five laps to go.
