Piastri's entry to F1 has already been met with anticipation following the contract saga between himself and Alpine over his services for 2023. The Australian was duly announced as a replacement for the departing Fernando Alonso at Alpine, before he denied the claim on social media in a post that has now been liked nearly 400,000 times.
