Williams handed $35mn boost for 2023 after taking conglomerate to court
Williams are one of the most iconic and historically successful teams in the sport, however their fortunes have not been as pleasant in recent years, with the team confined to the back of the grid for a number of years. In a bid to aid their financial struggles, Williams joined forces with ROKiT in 2019 on a three-year contract, which was further extended but another two years. The technology company looked forward to sharing a long and successful partnership with Williams, however at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 ROKiT went back on their deal with the team and left them without a title sponsor.
