De Vries backed for Williams as late contender emerges

Latifi struggled to match George Russell during their two years together and he has again been found wanting in partnering Alex Albon this F1 season. Being thoroughly outclassed by Nyck de Vries at Monza, with the Dutch driver making his race debut as a late substitute for Albon, was viewed as the final nail in the coffin.
