Toto Wolff speaks out on Porsche buying Formula 1 team
Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff, reckons there is still hope for Porsche’s bid to enter Formula 1, and he feels they would be a “great addition” to the sport. At the start of the year, rumours began circulating that Porsche and their sister company, Audi, were looking for the green light from parent company, Volkswagen, to enter F1 in 2026. Audi are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to buy Sauber in 2026, while Porsche intended to provide engines to Red Bull and AlphaTauri. Initially, it was thought that the German motoring giant was going to act only as a supplier to the Austrian and Italian teams, working out of the new engine facility recently constructed in Milton Keynes....
