Wolff: The team is the frustrated driver's trash bin

Toto Wolff accepted Lewis Hamilton's rant at the team during the 2022 Dutch Grand Prix saying the pitwall is usually a frustrated driver's trash bin. The seven-time Formula 1 Champion's rant over the team radio, expressing his anger with Mercedes' strategy call during a Safety Car period towards the end of the race in the Netherlands was the talk of the town post race. Toto Wolff, however tried to play down what happened, putting it down to emotions, claiming a team's job is to put up with a frustrated driver. 'You get emotional, I do too in the race,' he said.
