Video: Russell's Mercedes catches fire during demo run

Article To news overview © XPb A video has emerged of George Russell's Mercedes car catching fire at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The famous event, held every summer in the UK, showcases cars of all creeds as they demonstrate their speed with a charge up the hill. Russell was behind the wheel of Mercedes' all-conquering W10 machine at Goodwood, that car that lead Lewis Hamilton to his sixth World Championship crown. The young Briton took the car up the hill much to the delight of fans but did encounter a problem before the run could begin with his Mercedes overheating and catching fire. Watch the video below...
