Sergio Perez fought through two red flags and a Safety Car to claim a first-ever win at the Circuit de Monaco, jumping both Ferrari cars in the process. Verstappen, meanwhile, was able to turn fourth on the grid into a third-place finish on another bad day for home hero Charles Leclerc, with the Dutchman's lead in the title race growing by three points.
