'Ferrari wants to lose more weight by removing paint off the car'

Mattia Binotto revealed earlier this week that Ferrari will travel to Barcelona with a new package of updates for the Spanish Grand Prix. In addition, the F1-75 will also be a few kilos lighter. The Italian branch of Motorsport.com reports that Ferrari will scrap paint from the car to reduce weight. Removing the paint could yield a weight loss of 700 grams, reaching the planned three kilograms. The Ferrari already has the lightest paint on the grid, but the team can save even more weight by removing the clear paint that gives the red car a sheen.
