FIA concludes investigation into Ferrari wrongdoing

The FIA have seen no breach of regulation by Ferrari after the Scuderia appeared to use a different floor at the Pirelli test in Imola. After the completion of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Ferrari joined Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri and Alpine in testing a prototype 2023 tyre at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari to gather crucial data as the tyres evolve under the new technical regulations. Since the test is solely about ascertaining information about the tyres – and because not all of the teams are involved – the FIA clarify that the squads cannot use the test for their own personal gain, which would involve the trialling of new or different components.
