Verstappen: Lewis is a great sportsman, we respect one another

Newly crowned Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen took stock of his new status on Monday hailing his defeated rival Lewis Hamilton as a true sportsman and the respect was mutual. He also revealed that Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, despite threatening to appeal, had texted his congratulations. The 24-year-old handed Red Bull their first title since 2013 at Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix when he overtook Mercedes' seven times F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton, on the last lap of the final race of the season.
