AlphaTauri admits to looking at alternatives: 'They will test in Abu Dhabi'
AlphaTauri will retain Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda for 2022. Tsunoda expressed his surprise because he crashed a lot and was afraid he was costing the team too much money. Team boss Franz Tost thinks he deserves more time as a rookie, but admits to looking at other options. According to the Austrian, there is no point in attracting a driver and then showing him the door again so soon. "A driver needs three years to learn to understand Formula 1," Tost said in conversation with Sport1. "Yuki has potential and is still learning. He is very critical of himself and that is positive."
