McLaren explain withdrawal from RP20 protest

McLaren has withdrawn from the RP20 appeal process, stating they are the satisfied that the FIA will provide clarity on copying within Formula 1. Following the FIA's decision to deduct Racing Point 15 points and fine them 400,000 Euros for running illegal, Mercedes-inspired rear brake ducts, McLaren, Renault, Ferrari and Williams had stated their intention to appeal the verdict as they felt the punishment was not harsh enough. While Ferrari and Renault are continuing in their pursuit for what they feel is justice, McLaren has pulled out from the process.
