When asked whether they were satisfied with the technical and sporting changes after the opening three races of the season, Oscar Piastri and Sergio Pérez both made clear that the revisions were necessary and overdue. Among a series of technical changes for the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA has also introduced a new cap on Boost power in race trim. Boost is now limited to an additional 150 kW, or the car’s current power level at activation if that value is higher. This measure is designed to prevent the dramatic performance swings that contributed to several near‑misses and one major accident in the early rounds.
