Briatore offers ‘full support' to Colapinto
Jun.12 Flavio Briatore has hit reverse gear after saying he is 'not happy at all' with Franco Colapinto. The Alpine advisor recently ousted Jack Doohan to install the highly rated and heavily Argentinean-backed Colapinto in the cockpit for no less than five races. Briatore, 75, quickly denied the 21-year-old rookie was limited to just five races, but just prior to the recent Spanish GP, he admitted he was 'not happy' with Colapinto's opening two races at Imola and Monaco. 'He crashed right away on the first race weekend,' the famous Italian said. 'If I was to say I was happy, that would be a lie.'
