Kirkwood clinches fourth IndyCar win in wild Detroit showdown

The Andretti Global star, piloting the No. 27 Siemens AWS Honda, called his car “on rails” despite a clipped wing from a bold pass on Kyffin Simpson. “This AWS Honda was on rails all weekend long,” Kirkwood said, praising his team’s “epic pit stops” and “epic strategy.” Starting third, he seized the lead on Lap 79, diving under Santino Ferrucci in Turn 3, and held firm through a red-flag restart....
