Max Verstappen comes alive and challenges McLaren, as Piastri leads Russell
Home hero, Oscar Piastri, took P1 during FP3, which saw Mercedes’ George Russell take P2 behind the McLaren driver, with Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen apparently turning his weekend around, rounding off the top 3. The session had just gotten underway when Oliver Bearman put a wheel on the grass on the entry of turn 11, spun and beached his car in the gravel on the exit of turn 11.
