Leclerc admits Ferrari needs ‘special’ performance in Qatar GP

30/11/2024 at 22:1430/11/2024 at 23:04 Charles Leclerc has acknowledged that Ferrari will need to deliver a "special" performance in Sunday’s Qatar Grand Prix to keep their fading championship hopes alive against rival McLaren. Despite a promising FP1 session on Friday, the Scuderia struggled to uphold its early pace in the following sessions and especially in qualifying. Leclerc and teammate Carlos Sainz concluded the evening’s shootout respectively fifth and seventh, while their McLaren rivals locked out the second row of Sunday’s grid. “Honestly, today was the best we could do,” Leclerc told the media after qualifying.“I was really happy...
