Negotiations "are being finalised" as Sauber look to sign second driver

For many months, Sauber - the future Audi factory team- has been looking for a second driver alongside Nico Hulkenberg. With the '24 season almost over, white smoke can be expected very soon. Gabriel Bortoleto, currently the front-runner in the Formula 2 championship, is on the verge of signing a commitment with the soon-to-be German team, it became clear last weekend in Brazil. McLaren team principal Andrea Stealla has confirmed that conversations between their junior driver Gabriel Bortoleto and Sauber are "ongoing" and that they are "being finalised."
