US Grand Prix: Verstappen pips Russell and Leclerc to sprint pole

© XPB  Andrew Lewin 18/10/2024 at 23:3118/10/2024 at 23:49 Red Bull driver Max Verstappen snatched a late sprint pole for the United States Grand Prix Saturday race at the climax of Friday's sprint qualifying at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. George Russell had been hoping that an early run had given him the edge but ended up 0.012s short of the top spot. The second row will be taken up by Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris. Sergio Perez was bumped out of the final round and the Red Bull will start tomorrow's 19-lap sprint from P11 instead.
