How did the FIA improve safety after Ayrton Senna's death?

Safety in motorsport might look like a boring topic, but the changes made in the interest of safety since Formula 1 started in 1950 are enormous and save the life of many drivers not only at the pinnacle of motorsport, but of those who compete in other motorsport series. F1Technical's senior writer Balazs Szabo highlights the safety improvement with the help of the FIA.
