McLaren hands Mexican GP FP1 outing to O’Ward

11/09/2024 at 13:2311/09/2024 at 12:52 McLaren F1 reserve Pato O'Ward will enjoy an outing with team papaya at next month’s Mexican Grand Prix where the IndyCar charger will take part in Friday’s opening practice. O’Ward – a three-time winner with Arrow McLaren in the NTT IndyCar Series – took to social media on Wednesday to confirm his participation in FP1 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. It won’t be the 25-year-old’s first free practice in F1 with McLaren, having enjoyed two previous outings with the team in Abu Dhabi in 2022 and in 2023.
