RB boss insists promotion path to Red Bull open for Tsunoda

16/08/2024 at 10:4716/08/2024 at 11:27 Yuki Tsunoda's strong 2024 campaign with Visa Cash App RB is keeping him firmly in the frame for a possible promotion to Red Bull Racing in the future, according to team CEO Peter Bayer. While Tsunoda recently received a contract extension with Red Bull’s sister outfit, speculation swirled around a possible mid-season call-up to replace the struggling Sergio Perez. Tsunoda has consistently outperformed his more experienced teammate Daniel Ricciardo this season. Despite this, Red Bull appeared hesitant to pair him alongside championship leader Max Verstappen.
