Piastri fulfills in Hungary ‘day I dreamed of as a kid’

21/07/2024 at 17:1821/07/2024 at 17:40 Oscar Piastri spearheaded a McLaren one-two finish in Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix to stand on the top step of the podium and achieve “the day I dreamed of as a kid”. Piastri rocketed off the line, seizing the lead at the first corner and dictating the pace for the duration of his first stint on the medium tyre. However, McLaren's strategy threw a curveball when they pitted Norris first during the second round of stops.
