Sauber bolsters leadership team with key hire ahead of Audi era

12/07/2024 at 14:3312/07/2024 at 13:54 The Sauber Formula 1 team has strengthened its management lineup by recruiting a senior figure from Mercedes in preparation for Audi's official takeover. Stefan Strahnz has been appointed as Sauber's Programme Director, a newly created role in which he will report directly to team CEO Andreas Seidl. Strahnz, who departed Mercedes at the end of June, is set to join the Swiss-based outfit later this year, on October 1. During his 13-year tenure at Mercedes, Strahnz held various engineering and management positions, most recently serving as Chief Engineer - Cost and Commercial Programmes since December 2020.
