Formula One race director Niels Wittich has explained why the new installation should make it much easier for the FIA stewards to monitor track limits in the critical Turns 9 and 10 at the Red Bull Ring. Whenever Formula 1 arrives at the Red Bull Ring, there’s one topic guaranteed to generate heated discussion – track limits. Last year's Austrian Grand Prix saw FIA stewards investigate over 1200 potential track limit issues. Track limits became such an issue in 2023 that the race result was only announced the day after the race as stewards were unable to review all the cases in a short period of time.
