There was no more performance to extract, claims Alonso

Having delivered another disappointing performance in yesterday's Austrian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso sounded a negative note, claiming that there is simply no more to extract from his Aston Martin. Both Aston Martin cars put themselves into the top-10 in free practice, but the AMR24 was not able to maintain this going into Sprint Qualifying. Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso was in danger in the opening segment, but managed to make it out of SQ1. However, his progress was halted in the middle segment of the sprint qualifying session as he set only the 13th quickest lap.
