Bipartisan senators call for DOJ investigation into FOM's deferral of Andretti-Cadillac entry
A bipartisan group of senators have called on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate Formula One Management (FOM) for its deferral of Andretti-Cadillac’s attempts to enter Formula 1. Andretti was approved by the FIA as meeting the requirements set out by the governing body for any potential new entrant last year, advancing it to the stage where it could try and agree commercial terms with FOM. After carrying out analysis, FOM stated in January that it would not accept Andretti-Cadillac in 2025 or 2026, in part due to the need to use a customer power unit supply from Renault – potentially mandated if a deal could not be agreed – but would be more open to a 2028 entry when...
