Franz Tost reveals story behind brutal comments

The recent 2023 season finale in Abu Dhabi brought Franz Tost's 18-year spell as AlphaTauri's team principal to an end, with him having since revealed the story behind one of his most shocking comments. Tost's tenure at the Red Bull sister team started at the very beginning of their Formula 1 journey in 2006, when they fielded Scott Speed and Vitantonio Liuzzi. Since then, the Faenza-based squad have gone onto have some of the sport's brightest stars race for them, such as, Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz, Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly. Tost has overseen all of it, although it's now time for ex-Ferrari race director Laurent Mekies to take control of the team....
