Full results FP1 Qatar | Verstappen tops meaningless practice session

Max Verstappen has finished the first and only free practice as the fastest. The Red Bull Racing driver drove a 1:27.428 on softs, three tenths faster than Carlos Sainz, who also used the red compound. It was only in the last five minutes that we saw a number of drivers choose softer rubber. Most of the practice was completed on hard tyres by everyone due to poor track conditions.
