Ferrari opposed Carlos Sainz's masterstroke

Sainz's decision to maintain a buffer behind Lando Norris, despite his team's doubts about his pace, proved to be a masterstroke.  This victory also marked a significant milestone as Sainz became the first non-Red Bull driver to win a Formula 1 race in 2023. From the start of the race, Sainz demonstrated his excellence as a driver, having secured pole position for the second consecutive race weekend.  Even at Monza just two weeks prior, where he lacked the pace to fend off Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Sainz managed to secure a podium finish, fulfilling the fervent wishes of Ferrari's home fans.
