Iconic Newey F1 car damaged in Goodwood crash
Video To news overview An iconic Adrian Newey-designed Formula 1 car has been damaged in a crash during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Leyton House CG901 from the 1990 season was being driven by Richard Hope during the regular hillclimb run when he lost control as he approached Molcomb Corner. This pitched it into a spin and caused it to impact heavily into the straw bales, before bouncing back onto the track. Hope emerged unscathed but the car suffered significant damage to the front and rear. It was the third big crash to occur at the corner across the 30th anniversary weekend of the Festival of Speed after crashes for a McLaren F1 GTR a Hyundai RB22e. Check out the video below. You...
