Newey on interest from Ferrari: 'I was very tempted'
Adrian Newey was able to make a move to Ferrari in the 1990s. The Red Bull aerodynamicist was working for Williams at the time. The Briton eventually chose McLaren. The temptation was great, Newey tells Sky Sports. Article continues under ad "I've had discussions with Ferrari in the past," confirms the Red Bull man. "I've been very tempted because it's such a legendary brand," Newey says honestly. In the end, the Briton chose with his family in mind. "At the time, my kids were young and I didn't know how they would settle in an Italian school. If I was to move to a team that was based in Italy, I would have to move to Italy with the family."
