New power unit for Verstappen at Spanish Grand Prix
In the eighth Grand Prix of the season, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez opt for a new internal combustion engine (ICE) in their Red Bull. The FIA announced this during the first free practice session. It is only the first time for both drivers to have a new ICE fitted in 2023. Article continues under ad Verstappen and Perez also received a new turbocharger. The MGU-H and the MGU-K were also replaced. Again, this is the first time this season.
