Russell and Hulkenberg handed penalty points in Monaco
George Russell and Nico Hulkenberg were sanctioned by the Stewards for their actions in Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix. Russell was hit with a 5-second time penalty for unsafely rejoining the track after running down the escape road at Mirabeau and clipping Sergio Perez's Red Bull in the closing stages of the race under the wet conditions. The sanction had no bearing on the Mercedes driver's final fifth-place position in the standings, but he did collect two penalty points on his Super Licence, increasing his twelve-month rolling tally to six points overall.
