Saudi Arabia set to launch its own Formula 1 team

Speculation is swirling over the entry of a potential 11th team on the Formula One grid in 2026, as a project with a Gulf country is in the works. The proposal, titled ‘Formula Equal’, is reportedly set to be backed by a Middle Eastern nation, with rumours that it could be Saudi Arabia. Saudi Motorsport Federation President Prince Khalid told RacingNews365 that “it’s too early” to confirm whether they are involved in the project, refusing to discuss any details.
