Fernando Alonso claims Alpine would reject Adrian Newey in fresh jibe

Double World Champion Fernando Alonso is certainly not afraid of causing drama, with the Spaniard having taken another shot at his former team Alpine. The Spaniard, of course, left Alpine at the end of last season in order to move to Aston Martin, after the Silverstone-based side offered him a longer contract. It's a move that has so far worked out perfectly for Alonso and Aston Martin, with the 41-year-old having claimed back-to-back third place finishes in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Alonso has started the season so strongly, in fact, that some have labelled the veteran as a potential title contender, depending on how good the British side's upgrades are this season.
