Toto Wolff claims Guenther Steiner doesn't ‘think so well'

Mick Schumacher had been in a tough battle to keep his seat at Haas for a number of race weekends now, with team owner Gene Haas suggesting in early October that he would need to see better results from his driver if he wanted to stay with them for 2023. Team principal Guenther Steiner told reporters that he believed in Schumacher’s potential, but stated that unfortunately a team the size of Haas cannot afford to put a driver in the car that is inexperienced and prone to mistakes. Schumacher will be replaced by 35-year-old Nico Hulkenberg as Steiner searches for immediate success in 2023, paired with old enemy Kevin Magnussen.
