Sargeant completed the Formula 2 championship at Abu Dhabi, securing fourth in the Drivers' Championship after finishing in P6 and P5 in the Sprint and Feature races. Williams Team Principal, Jost Capito, announced Sargeant would join the team on the condition that he would earn enough superlicence points by the end of the season.
