Marko surprised by Verstappen's team order refusal
Article To news overview © XPBimages Helmut Marko was surprised by Max Verstappen's refusal to let Sergio Perez pass in the Brazilian Grand Prix, breaking Formula 1 team orders. Verstappen was instructed to let Perez pass on the final lap to aid his push for P2 in the Drivers' Championship, but flat out-refused saying he had his reasons for doing so. Perez retorted that Verstappen "showed who he really is" as the Mexican now goes level on points with Charles Leclerc into the Abu Dhabi finale.
