Would Max Verstappen defeat Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery?

Max Verstappen has beaten his rivals this season, including Lewis Hamilton, by a significant margin, currently sitting over 100 points clear of Sergio Perez in second place. Comparisons are still made however between Verstappen and Hamilton, with many F1 fans arguing that the Dutchman simply had a much better car this season, which is entirely true, and that comparisons should be made on last season. The 2021 season saw a battle between the two greats head down to the wire, with Verstappen only overtaking his British nemesis on the final lap in Abu Dhabi, following controversial safety car procedures.
