Aston Martin sign World Champion as F1 reserve driver

Article To news overview © XPBimages The Aston Martin Formula 1 team have signed Formula E World Champion Stoffel Vandoorne as a test and reserve driver for 2023. Former McLaren driver Vandoorne claimed the 2021/22 FE title with Mercedes, for whom he is currently a reserve driver in F1 alongside Nyck de Vries. He will dovetail his title defence with the DS Penske squad alongside shadowing Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll at Aston. As RacingNews365.com predicted, 30-year-old Vandoorne will take up duties for the 24-race 2023 season alongside reigning F2 champion Felipe Drugovich.
