Red Bull gets $7 million fine, 10% windtunnel reduction

Red Bull has been handed a $7 million fine and a 10 percent reduction in windtunnel testing time for next season as punishment for breaching the 2021 budget cap. Red Bull accepted the accepted breach agreement offered to it by the FIA. The FIA found Red Bull had been in breach of the $145 million cap by £1,864,000 ($2.2 million), but acknowledged that if a UK tax rebate had been correctly claimed the breach would have been £432,652 ($0.5 million) Although they were never seriously under threat, it means Max Verstappen's 2021 title and Red Bull's newly-won 2022 constructors' championship remain intact.
