Audi: Sauber is a first-class partnerfor Formula 1

Audi revealed they have partnered with Sauber in their first foray into Formula 1, the German marque and sister brand Porsche have dilly-dallied on the fringes of the top flight for decades, today the plans for one them has been finalised. While Porsche's much talked about deal with Red Bull went bust earlier in the year when a partnership was all but set to be inked, Audi confirmed they were in but at the time their plans were unclear. The smart money was on Sauber being their target. Thus Sauber and Audi – who will build engines – have struck a deal to become the next works team in Formula 1, joining Ferrari, Mercedes, Alpine and Red Bull as non-customer teams when they...
