Tost on De Vries' arrival: 'Race in Monza of great influence'
AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost says Nyck de Vries is the best option and he is a good fit for the team. Last week, the Red Bull sister team announced that De Vries will get a full seat in Formula 1 from 2023. De Vries replaces Pierre Gasly at the team who will leave for Alpine next year. Article continues under ad De Vries had been linked with a move to the premier class for some time, but his chances were boosted when he made an impressive debut for Williams at Monza last month, filling in for Alexander Albon who required surgery for acute appendicitis. The Dutchman finished the race ninth and shortly afterwards was prompted by compatriot Max Verstappen to call doctor Helmut Marko....
