Fittipaldi to drive for Haas in Mexico and Abu Dhabi

Ian Parkes Tuesday 11 October 2022 14:07 - Updated: 14:08 Pietro Fittipaldi will drive for Haas in two first practice sessions over the closing four races of the current F1 season. As mandated under the regulations, all 10 teams have to run a rookie in FP1 at two grands prix, with each of its race drivers stepping aside. A rookie is defined as a young driver who has competed in two races or less. Fittipaldi is still eligible as he has competed in two grands prix for Haas, with the 26-year-old Brazilian standing in for Romain Grosjean in the final two races of the 2020 season following the Frenchman's fireball crash in the Bahrain GP that year.
